I have posted this in the hardware forum but it was suggested that I give it a try here too, i'm not spamming
I have two 1GB sticks of Corsair XMS2 RAM that I bought separately, one from the US and one England, both with the model number CM2X1024-6400. They're meant to have timings of 5-5-5-12 and no EPP. However, I just put CPU-Z on my computer and it says that the first stick, the one i bought in the US, has a model number of CM2X1024-6400C4, with timings of 4-4-4-12 and EPP. The English one is normal. What the hell is going on? Is it something wrong with CPU-Z or did i get sent a better piece of RAM by Newegg?
Will this affect the speed of the paired RAM? Just on a side note, I don't think Corsair even sell the C4 version in single 1gig sticks?
