I was looking to replace my H140 a while ago and couldn't find many non-ipod alternatives. The only one I could find was the Cowon iAudio X5 which meets most of the requirements you list, including rockbox support. However bear in mind I don't have one, so can't recommend it personally.

I didn't consider the Creative lineup cos they're not drag and drop (have to use buggy, crappy Creative s/w). In the end I decided to keep the H140 for a bit longer
