I have just tried these settings:
Unlinked
FSB set to 1066 (had to type the number in a box instead of selecting it)
DDR2 Voltage 2.2v
NB Voltage 1.5v
Timings Manual set to 5-5-5-15 2T
then saved and restarted - it would always freeze the PC during POST boot-up screen and pressing restart button would then not restart the PC & bios was inaccessable, so i just had to turn the PC off & unplug for 5 minutes then startup the PC and quickly access the bios to reset those settings & save before it froze up again. I've put it back to how it originally was for now.
I am not sure which bios version I have (didn't spot it in the bios screen) but if this windows uGuru "FlashMenu" app is right then it is version 1.0 (dated 12/25/2006) so if I am using outdated (default) bios then that might be why when I tried those settings it didn't work the same as 4rthurs...right?
So do you recon a bios update is needed (any difference?) & also can any version bios be saved and restored (e.g. put back/downgraded in case of emergency) ???
