| By having the speakers accross the front so close together you will get an effect, however the 'steering' of sound from say L to C to R in the instance of say a plane flying across the screen will sound quite narrow and not give much of a three dimensional soundscape.
HOWEVER we don't all have masses of space and you need to do what you can with that space, you don't mention what bits you have but I would imagine they are quite small speaker which is a good idea in a confined area. In terms of height you should TRY and have the tweeters of the speakers across the front at the same level as the treble is the most directional frequency, I always used to put the C on top of the tv and then L & R on stands/wall mounts at the same level. |
