how do you know it's flooding? I hope you dont mean it's spraying out across the engine bay

If you mean it's overfueling, it might simply need some new spark plugs. It's pretty unlikely that the injectors are pumping fuel all the time. If one injector is faulty, it will overfuel but it would stil start on the other three cylinder, though it would run really badly.

But why on earth would you unplug the fuel pipes to make it work?
