I am also having speed issues with the N299!
I have done a speed test by bridging 2 gigabit Marvell Yukon ethernet adapters on my PC. The max through put this achieved was 6.76MB/s which is no where near what I would expect from this device.
Hope there is a fix out there somewhere!
