Even though this is supposed to be an all singing and all dancing phone
, I've found it can be a bit sluggish. Even with the background apps all closed. I've heard that people on xda-devs have reflashed it and found it much faster - the way HTC designed it to be - but I'm slightly concerned about bricking my device. Apparently it's fairly straightforward though.
But for an absolute noob, who doesn't know anything, if anyone has done it can they give me a step by step process? What's CID locking, does the Vario III have it, how do you remove it, what are good roms to flash onto it, does it need a new radio rom, what the hell is a radio rom? How do you flash, what programs can you use to do so, how do you backup contacts (well mine are stored in outlook so I should be ok... right?)
