| Re: C2D Overclocking Guide For Beginners P5K Add-On It's been a good long read, and now It's my turn to post. First of all, as listed in my system, that is my overclock under Vista 32 bit. Here is how I have set up my Bios:
AI Overclocking: Manual
Multiplier:8
CPU Ratio Control: Manual
FSB strap to North Bridge:Auto
FSB Frequency: 400
PCI-E Frequency: 100
DRAM Frequency: DDR2-1200
DRAM Timing Control [manual]
CAS# Latency: 5
RAS# to CAS# Delay: 5
RAS# Precharge: 5
RAS# Activate to Precharge:18
TWR: AUTO
TRFC: AUTO
TWTR: AUTO
TRRD: AUTO
TRTP: AUTO
DRAM Static Read Control:Auto
Transaction Booster: Disabled
Clock Over-Charging Mode: AUTO
CPU Spread Spectrum: Disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum: Disabled
CPU Voltage: 1.3875
CPU Voltage Reference: AUTO
CPU Voltage Damper: Enabled
CPU PLL Voltage: Auto
DRAM Voltage: 2.25
FSB Termination Voltage: Auto
North Bridge Voltage: Auto
North Bridge Voltage Reference: AUTO
South Bridge Voltage: AUTO
Advance CPU Settings
CPU Ratio Control: manual
C1E Suppport: Disabled
Max CPUID Value Limit: Disabled
Vanderpool Technology: Enabled
CPU TM Function: Disabled
Execute Disable Bit: enabled
PECI:enabled
Intel SpeedStep: Disabled
I have had it overclocked higher: E6700 @ 425mhz @ 3400mhz @ 1.4v/ Crucial @ 1063mhz @ 4-4-4-8 but it proved to be unstable. Ultimately I want to get an overclock of a multiplier of 6x 533mhz so I can run my Ram at 1:1 @ 1066mhz According to the X-Bit article it should be possible.
And finally, I know Clunk has always said to use the black sockets for the ram to run a single "dual-channel" but the manual(page 2-14) indicates dimm A1, and dimm B1 are the recommended sockets, and they are yellow.
Any comments would be welcomed
Thank you
