right well where to begin, yesterday was the day of the old heave ho.
Me and dad were going to start around 8am, until i got the news that i was wanted for a job interview and yesterday was the only day they could do it! So off i trundle to Derby for a 7.30am job interview, back at dads at 10, and at mine for 10.30.
Finally we got started
Heres how it has been stood for a while, most leads off, exhaust still attached.
So while dad gets the exhaust off i start on the offside driveshaft.
Tada!
Time to help dad with the exhaust, of course its a pain in the **** to get one off with jacks
Although we persevere and finally had enough and junior hacksaw the rubber mounts
One exhaust out of the car
Whilst the car was running it did sound rather blowy... wonder why....
oh yeah, a big hole in the backbox will do it
After that off with all the gearbox mounts and any remaining loomage. Once we finished that it was time to get in the crane
Bit by bit it started coming....
30 minutes later....
Leaving this...
Its harder than it looks pulling a gearbox off a driveshaft when the F25 is so damned heavy! So off with the nearside wheel and hubnut. Slowly but surely we got the driveshaft out the car, and then the driveshaft out of the gearbox.
And heres how she stands now... looking a bit sad for herself!
Ive got some other problems with the replacement parts but hopefully will get them sorted before the new block goes in.
And thats me about knackered

aching like crazy now... oh and btw i got a 2nd interview today
Cheers
Bill
