What's the point of having a sound card if your USB mic plugs directly into the motherboard and has its own drivers and is processed 100% by the CPU?
All USB mics will do that, its not a soundcard thing.
The Mic is a sound device in its own right in this situation. It simply 'emulates' a basic soundcard and sets the input to itself
