Having got my shiny new 40" Samsung home, I thought I'd hook it up to my Media Centre (Vista Ultimate x86) PC. I'd cunningly pre-bought a
DVI -> HDMI cable from Scan and tried plugging this in, to no avail. Luckily, the TV also has a 15-Pin D-SUB input, so I used a normal monitor cable to connect this and it works.
I'm using an old PCI-E Radeon x1300 with DVI and D-SUB outputs, so having gotten the D-SUB output working, I re-connected the other cable and set the display mode to clone. The TV still wouldn't recognise an HDMI input, even though in CCC, the graphics card detects a Samsung TV on both outputs, and happily outputs 1920x1080 at 60Hz in clone mode.
Anyone have any ideas how I can convince the TV to accept this input?
