Well, yes its possible to do that but laying fibre has a rather large cost attached to it and home useage is just not going to cover it. I think your point about wireless is closer to the mark, I can imagine a point where mobile broadband overtakes landlines. I mean, just look at what happened to the land line telephone, anybody use one of those these days..?
