Here's a couple of alternative options:

Samsung's 8.2MP S85 (around £70) - or 8.1MP NV8 (around £90).
Or the 7.1MP Fuji FinePix S5700 (around £80)... or 9.3MP Fuji FinePix A920 - just £78.60 from Scan
