Just my opinion, but this last sentence seems a bit more like a cheap shot than a political argument. It may be justified, but might not show you in the best light if you choose to send further letters to the press as well. If you remain curt, but not rude, I feel any strong replies from your MP would look worse and unwarranted in comparison.
