Or, if you're bored of the HL2 series, you should try Garrys Mod 11 (costs $9.99 on steam), the sandbox mod for source games(You possibly have already). It isn't everyone's cup of tea but it's a right laugh constructing ropey contraptions and battling each other. The list of possibilities in that game are literally endless and the thousands of mods available mean that you can build almost anything.
