Patrick Moorhead (pictured), the VP for advanced marketing at AMD, clearly thinks the Achilles Heel of Centrino 2 is its integrated graphics. “Clearly graphics matter more than ever,” he said. “Ninety percent of the notebooks sold at retail in the U.S. include integrated graphics (worldwide this figure is about 70 percent) and yet Intel Montevina is being launched only with discrete graphics.”
Am I missing something here or is this just a mistake? The way I see it, this statement would contradict Moorhead's argument. And Montevina's GMA X4500 is integrated, not discrete.
