You don't really get many TV's with speaker sockets now I'm afraid. Usually just audio line outs, which this doesn't seem to have either. But if it has a headphone socket you can hook that up to a hi-fi. Either by using an adaptor http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...C=SO&U=strat15 and a set of phono cables, or just by a 3.5mm to phono cable http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hama-Connect.../dp/B0009V8W6O I just used those cables as examples, but there's better or cheaper ones out there, dependent on preference

If you were using a surrond system, this would let you get pro-logic, but not any form of digital surround.

It wouldn't give digital sound from TV shows, which is a pity. But if it's for PS3, or any other external source, you'd hook them directly to the surround system anyway
