I'll third The Orange Box: 5 great games and a lot of great mods. CoD4 is great (I still have to pick that on up myself). Crysis is a blast, too, even if you have to run it on medium settings (throwing people through buildings and watching the building collapse = win).
Also, since you like strategy game,s check out Sins of a Solar Empire (it has a demo).
