No gaming console is ever a good investment - they are now produced in such large numbers that they'll never be collectors items and thus their value will only go down as more hit the market and they are eventually replaced by more desireable models.
But as far as whether it's worth the money in terms of your enjoyment, what on earth has exclusivity got to do with anything? Does a game eventually coming out on another system somehow retro-actively reduce your enjoyment of the title when you played it?
No, down with exclusives I say - so long as two systems are of comparible, or at the least, scalable, features then it's in everyone's best interests for games to be released on multiple systems, leaving the differentiation to be achieved by price, reliabilty and non-gaming features such as blu-ray.
