Right there is a reason not to switch ..... it'll cost you for something you don't need, or apparently want.
And another reason is that some of us have hardware or so old as to have doubtful driver compatibility, and aren't prepared to spend ages making sure of drivers etc for no real gain. And another reason is to maintain consistency with other systems owned. And another is older or low-spec hardware.
There are plenty of reasons not to switch,
depending on your circumstances.
For me, Vista offers little or no benefit, and would cost a lot to adopt. That is reason enough. If others like Vista and want it for that reason alone, great - it's their money. Or if it gives them a benefit. Great, go for it.
But, for me, regardless of the pro-Vista brigade proselytizing on and on about it, it offers nothing to justify switching, and there are several good reasons not to.
