Re: 8GB Voyager doesn't work under Linux?

RAM Guy said (in this post):

There is no issue with Linux and there never was, it was just that a newer kernel had some issue that has been solve with a Kernel update and a firmware change at our end. But if you have this problem let's try and replace the drive and go from there.
So I've got an RMA and shipped it off to your service centre in the Netherlands for a replacement.

I think Corsair's customer care (both you & RAM guy) have been outstanding. However from a manufacturing / QA perspective it's pretty shabby that Corsair claims Linux support in the product info page yet are shipping Voyagers that don't work with any Linux released in the past ~2 years! (I guess it's possible I was given a 2-year old part from scan.co.uk, but I doubt it).

I've spent a lot of time on this issue, totally disproportionate to the £20 it originally cost. I'd have been far better off dumping my unopened Voyager in the bin and buying a different brand!

But again, thanks for the support & apologies for not posting in the correct sub-forum.
