was there any update that made the 360 quieter?
mate just got his RROD'd 360 back and i've noticed that its louder than mine even when in the dashboard with no disc in the drive, he isnt online so doesnt get xbox updates but mine has been regularly getting them.
both were release date consoles but hes had hes dvd drive/motherboard replaced, but surely that should have made it quieter and not noisier!?
have there been any updates which have directly or indirectly affected general noise?
