Having sold them both side by side I would say the panasonic edges it for colour definition and has a great quality in-built freeview tuner, although the Samsung is much nicer to use and has a better freeview guide. For the price difference I would probably stick with the Samsung myself for a TV of this size as we retail it for £329 and the Pany is £399.

The only other benefits of the Pany are that they are the only manufacturer of Tvs of this size to have a PROPER on/off button and also the SD card slot can be handy if you take lots of digital photos and want to view them back easily without a PC.

Both TVs have VGA connection so attaching a laptop shouldnt be a problem.
