The SNES version of Mario Kart was fantastic and will always be my favourite. Though, I am sure if I go back to it, I will be sad.
For me, the Wii version lost the magic somehow. I do prefer Double Dash to the Wii version and more than Mario Kart 64 as well. I felt it captured more of the Mario Kart spirit, for me anyway. So hopefully, the next Mario Kart game (on a non-hand held device) will follow a trend and be to my liking.
If not, I am sure i'll buy it anyway. >_<
