What sort of safety regulations govern plugs these days?
It's got a fuse and it's got the three prongs so i imagine it would be ok, but do the wires need to be a certain thickness/certain insulation thickness?
I'd happily buy a pack of ten and go round rewiring all of the gadgets i use the most! The idea to put a double width one as a USB adaptor on the three way (as well as a standard socket) is genius, i'd definitely get one of those. At the moment i use a Sony Walkman transformer block and one of those standard AC cables. Or one of these:
