| Fallen into the EZcool trap
Unfortunately, I bought a 650w EZcool power supply for the PC I just built.
It was only when I installed a game today and heard the awful whining noise that I began to read up on EZcool and I've not turned my PC on since.
The noise (a whine that alters pitch suddenly depending on what's happening on screen) is almost painful to listen to and is enough for me to return the power supply but what I've read about EZcool is what scares me the most.
What I want to do is return it to Scan and pay the difference for a Corsair VX450W as replacement. Would this be possible? |
