The N7700 is just a basic PC after all, so the same limitations apply. Without them moving to a 64bit platform, you won't get access to all the RAM. About 3.6GB will be the absolute max.
Sure, I'll take 3.5gb or 3.6Gb from my 4.096Gb over 3Gb anyday
the N7700 is alot snappier with the 4GB installed, even if only 3Gb is being used. Thanks all... Have the same issue with my ReadyNAS pro pioneer, too... 4GB yields only 3GB usable.
