Hi all, i'm looking for a camcorder for less than £200 for general use (both in and outdoors). I've been looking at the Sanyo Xacti VPC-TH1, for ~£170. This is a 720p unit, though apparently some standard definition cameras perform better...
It has very mixed reviews...i'm not at all bothered about still photographs, I have an SLR for that, so I'm just after the best video quality I can get for my money. Does anyone have any experience with these? If anyone could suggest any alternatives I'd be very grateful
EDIT: Since posting i've continued looking around, and found that the Panasonic SDR-S26 has some very positive reviews. This is, however, an SD camcorder, so would the video quality be noticably inferior? Is it a realistic prospect to find a good quality HD cam for less than £200?
Thanks!
