i hear what you're saying but...doesnt bootcamp sort of fix that problem?
my friend introduced me to the new line of MBP and showed me CoD4 and GTA4 running on XP on a 15" MBP, so whats the problem?
Also, it would be cool if someone could edit the first post with a more up-to-date and relevant list of essential applications, that first post 2 years old. I only just got my Mac and would love to get veteran's advice on what apps to use
