i don't do cupboards much either, have very few of them in my kitchen cos it has a larder so i put everything apart from fridge / freezer items in there. wasn't keen on it when i moved in but wouldn't do without it now
my kitchens a bit poorly laid out atm - its square(ish) so there's not much room around the outside for workspace, but its not quite big enough for an island, i'm applying for planning permission to pull it down & start again
so if i get the OK for that i'll be looking for ideas
