| Essentially, either you have to name the driver, or you have to have cover which says that anyone can drive your car as long as they have your permission (my mum had this once, but it may not exist any more). The other driver may have insurance which gives them third party cover to drive other cars- in which case you'll be out of pocket if he crashes the car on the test drive.
