| ZoneAlarm firewall once caused me all maner of BSOD problems, BSOD errors ranging from NTFS.sys, ACPI.sys, USB, IRQL_DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. An uninstall of that software solved it. Backup up your files to a second HDD and reinstall Windows. Install and test applications in an iterative way and see if the problem returns. It may not return at all and reinstall may solve it.
