I have been ill today and just got logged in to check the site on my iphone, I am shocked by the damage to the system,I hope that in my absence you have been contacted and I will be complaining to our courier tomorrow morning when I am back in work, it is disappointing and upsetting when we worked so hard on your system for this to be all undone

Support called me first thing Monday
Explained to them about the damage I found on arrival and booked it in for the RMA collection today

In a day or so you can see how bad it really is after some testing

We have received the system and taken the necessary pictures to send to the courier, the system is on Pete Gs bench and will be his priority

Hi Recon,

Just an update for you. I've managed to do most of the rebuild on friday (i've swapped the case shell and trays where they were dented/threaded) althrough the cableing needs a tidy up at the moment.

We've had it running prime95 since Friday night and it was still running this morning so everything seems stable. I'm tinkering about with the bios settings at the moment to try and reduce the power usage overall in the system. It's testing fine in vantage at the moment after swapping the bridge out out of the system. The cards have been tested in a couple of test beds and they themselves are benching great at the moment.

We're currently running benchmarks, stress testing and tweaking and we'll give you an update as we have it.

Hopefully the components lifespans havnt been shortend by the massive shock they took upon that delivery

Hows the new CPU cooler working out . Have the temps dropped by much ?

Hi Recon

The CPU Cooler is great and the CPU idles at approx 40-45 Degrees

The Drives have been thoroughly checked and if we had any sign that they may have been damaged they would have been changed, they are designed to park when not in use to protect them in transit etc.

Onsite arrived with the PC in perfect condition
3dmark and Vantage ran fine so let the man go onto his next job

Now I have a new problem

The soundcard appears not to be detected

I have sound from " High definition audio device" In the device manager
But no mention of the xfi card anywhere

Clicking the Creative volume control or Creative audio panel programs come up with error
message " There are no supported audio device available. You need to close the aplication "

Downloaded creative drivers and a new version of the console program but nothing has changed
Still only stereo from two speakers only

Hi Recon,

It may have worked loose a little bit in transit. We had audio coming out of the front panel here so I'd check the card. Just unscrew the card and remove and reinsert it again. Power up and hopefully it should detect again.

Hello Everyone
Im back from the Lan event today

Good news

After speaking to a few computer type people they gave me a fix for the sound problem
Two minutes fiddling with some settings and the driver disc and everythings working as it should
