    Re: Recon's - 3XS X58 Core i7 Build

I just ordered an X58 system today with a red & black colour scheme - great minds think alike! We'll definitely start a new trend here. As you may guess, I'm new here. Perhaps some pictures of my system will be up next week or so, but its a much more modest rig than most of these - I'm just too sensible (i.e. stingy) for my own good.

One question - if your build day is today, when did you place your order? I'm trying to get an idea when I can expect mine to arrive at the front of the queue...

    Re: Recon's - 3XS X58 Core i7 Build

    Hi Nordwars

What spec did you go for, do you have a list of parts you can post up ?
Red/Black is a great choice, Ill keep an eye out for your pictures

    My timeline so far
    2nd . placed my order
3rd . Got a confirmation from the build team about checking parts are in stock
8th . Confirmation that stock was Ok and a build date given, also estimates the delivery as 16th
    9th . Build started
11th . Today was memory test day, and the picture "table of stuff" went up too

Looking at the tracking page still have a few stages to go
    Software loading
    24hr burn in
    quality check
    System built
    Despatch courier

Hope that helps you work out your dates

    Hello Nordwars,

Can you email your invoice number to philipp@scan.co.uk so I can ensure you get some pictures taken and posted up

    Cheers

Thanks for the info Recon. That's not bad a turnaround I guess - I know the guys are busy. It's gonna be tough to wait 2 more weeks tho!

Here is my spec - as I said its not as hard out as a lot on here - operating volume and cost were major factors for me, and I can always bung in another gpu in future I figure! From the millions of reviews I have read, the GTX 275 should be good enough for today's games, especially since I can only run them 1680x1050 because of the monitor (although the 3D will roughly halve that framerate).

Please post up your impressions once your box is finally delivered Recon! Must be any day now!

    Hi

we have just spoken on the phone, the Foxconn Bios is different and uses a Quantum Bios Profile

To Access this please restart the system and Tap Del to goto the Bios

Goto Quantum Bios on the Right and Press Enter
Goto the Storage Gear Section and Press Enter
Select the Storage Gear 1 - It will have been named something slightly differently (this is the Overclock)
If you wanted to run the system at Non Overclocked you can load Storage Gear 2

Once loaded please save the settings by pressing F10

I will email you the screenshots of the Blackops Bios we have here its very similar

    Regards

    Ben
