even without +frost resist they get resisted all the time :/
I've stuck with fire for insane amounts of damage
instant casted pyro crit for 900dmg last night (+40% DoT with ignite), followed by a 550dmg fireblast crit (+40% dot again)..
What level are you? That's not a lot of dmg for a 60 Fire Mage, I do that as a 58 Frost Mage!
The thing is, with a Frost Mage is you get a lot longer to live with Ice Barrier and Ice Block. I use them both constantly to help, and it sure does. Gives you more time to do damage (get a 50% bonus to crit rate on frozen targets which means 900-1000 dmg to all targets with CoC if they're all frozen
) and uses less mana IMO. As a Fire Mage I used to be out of mana after one or two fights, now I can last 3 or 4 and still survive with Ice Barrier and/or Block.
And my Frost spells certainly don't get resisted that much, not as much as my Fire spells anyway!
