hmmm same as this one then...

I've tried disabling the USB power on the advice of the nice man I spoke to at ABit tech support a moment ago. No joy.

The man told me that there is a known issue with these boards and *some* USB devices which they hope to fix in a future BIOS release. Guess we have to stick to PS/2 for the moment and not use his iPod, scanner, printer, ADSL modem, anything vaguely useful

if anyone has any further ideas you'll be saving 2 guys from male pattern baldness and high blood pressure if you would be so kind as to offer them!
