| Thanks for the replies guys. In response to 5lab, no chance of me getting a 360 - I don't game on my xbox, I sue it as a media centre with a 160gb HDD, so I don't see the point in getting a 360 when I only play pc games. Besides, I can't really afford one after buying the telly.
So, am I right in thinking that as long as my source is set to display HDTV resolutions (as in the xbox dasboard and the 2nd monitor settings in my 6800GT) the cable connection to the actual TV shouldn't matter?
The reason I'd mentioned connecting them both to HDMI above is that I thought it had to be an HDMI connection to get HDTV res.
