Haven't heard anything about the R2 of this. Why not just buy the R1? Making your kit regionless is really easy these days. However, be aware it's nothing speical. All the blurb you'll read bangs on about the 20 or 30 mins of extra footage - that's marketing rubbish. There's about 4 mins extra, 2 or 3 scenes. The rest is credits as each story is split up.
Worth it for the extras and if you don't already have the DVD, dubious otherwise.
