Normal spider fight for me is, one tank on speaker, other on boss. Adds rush towards healers and get AEed down by mages and locks. Kill speaker (may be already dead, depends on number of rogues). Everyone switches to boss, dps till dead. Off-tank picks up boss when she webs, mages/warlocks DPS adds (off tank grabs if he's free).
Yeh found out over the weekend that since patch the fight cant be reset after killing the speaker, but as you say easy enough to kill speaker then switch the DPS to the boss.
