there should also be headers for the mic and headphones, they have header for the audio out and headser for audio in, so that the audio goes back into the board and to your audio out ports at the back, you will probably have to take some jumpers off the connectors before sticking the leads on. I assume your board has the connectors, my MSI nforce2 board did, but the Abit isn't as good a board so i'm not sure
