Sorry,…
I have a Sapphire Theatrix Theater 550 Pro that came with the Sapphire version of PowerCinema3, a Visiontek Xtasy Theater 550 Pro MCE version which came with BeyondTV3 SE + Beyond-Media and I just bought a Powercolor Theater 550 Pro PCIe version (for $44.99 after rebate) that probably came with PowerCinema4 (don’t know because I haven’t had the time to install the card much less open the box).
The Sapphire version of PowerCinema3 is not eligible for the free upgrade I linked to above. In fact, only the ATI version of PowerCinema3 is eligible as far as I know and a software check is made by the install routine to enforce that only the ATI version is upgraded. There are work-arounds and hacks to force the install but I really don’t think its worth it,…
I played with PowerCinema3 for a bit but that was only to see what everyone was complaining about so I am not really that knowledgeable about it.
Basically I only use Media Center Edition 2005 (three licenses) and now Vista MCE in the RC1 release. However, before I fully standardized on MCE I tried GB-PVR and
MediaPortal which are IMO great FREE PVR applications that vastly outclass and outperform PowerCinema3 / PowerCinema4.
Also Yahoo bought ”Meedio" then put out a free app that uses the tech and supports the Theater 550 Pro, its called “Go TV”:

Anyway, good luck!
