The hill mission is hard-ish (but good fun!), I had german squads capping the strategic point at one time. I think I used the ranger unlock to reinforce in emergencies, otherwise built troops using the barracks and support centre (until they got blown up
).
AT guns on all sides are a must. Also, dont put men down in the further points - or if you do - use a sniper or two. I had men down on those far-away points and they held them off for quite a while (with some AT guns) but eventually were overrun, it then came down to me having very little on the hill itself which led to a nailbiting finish. I also had 1 howitzer on the hill, handy for bombarding entrance points to the hill.
In the briefing they said they would attack the town? They only did this once, I had like 3 squads and an AT gun down there which was a complete waste - so perhaps 1 squad will do.
