I just had to use a cheap stick of RAM to boot, set the voltages and then install the new RAM. Unfortunately, even with correct voltages, it still won't boot at 800MHz, only at 533. Not sure why this is. Anyway, my suggestion is to go the cheap stick route, I got a stick of 256 from Ebuyer for £11, so it wasn't an expensive fix.
