| the serious engine is very graphically pretty, and can provide a very good opengl workout for subsystems. part of the problem lies in it being a pig to map properly with - maps can have infinite size but you have to do some vile trickery to get it to do so at a sensible framerate.
it was released a few years ago to a mixed reception, loved by those who thought doom was fun for the insane hordes of enemies, hated by those who think a game is awful unless it has one-hit-kills and couterterrorism. |
