YOYOtech - Collect & Reserve

Hi all,

Through your very valuable feedback we have looked at our Collect & Reserve system to see if we can both simplify the process and improve the customer experience for you.

Now many of you have stated that it doesn't matter to you that we have London stores, you don't think you should pay the price of delivery for your goods. Now, on reflection, the words delivery charge do indeed confuse the matter, but the fact remains that our locality does require us to cover some of the costs associated with the process.

Many have compared us to warehouse-only companies and others have compared us to a massive, global electronics and technology firm, both comparisons are far away from what YOYOtech is and what its offering our customers, past, present and future.

We have decided to revise our policy on the Collect & Reserve process, from now on any customer that uses the Collect & Reserve process will be charged a flat-rate £5 Expedited Surcharge.

This surcharge is per order, not per item, therefore the more you order the more you save.

Why do we have this Expedited surcharge?

When you place your order online the goods are reserved for you (GUARANTEED) to collect in our store any 7 days of the week. This surcharge is because you are paying web-prices for our products.

Are the web prices really that different?

To give you an example, we looked at the prices of three common components, A hard drive, CPU and Motherboard, the price difference was a total of £24 compared to our shop prices, so as you can see there is a great deal of value in using the Reserve & Collect service.

Can I get the web prices if I walk in off the street rather than Reserve and Collect?

No you can't, the prices you will pay if you have not done our Reserve & Collect service can vary massively.

Are you still going to call the service a delivery charge on the website?

The website will be updated shortly to reflect a better terminology for the Reserve & Collect Expedited Surcharge.

If I order lots of heavy stuff will the Expedited Surcharge also increase?

We have decided that the surcharge will be a fixed £5 no matter how much you spend or however many components make up your order. Please note the charge is PER ORDER.

We hope that you can understand we have to cover certain external costs and hence we cannot provide the free service many think we should. The economies of scale do not all a business such as YOYOtech to absorb these costs without impacting the competetive prices we offer on our product range.
