Also I realise you're already happy to RMA it but the retailer will likely test it with their setup and finds it boots ok so they will offer to return it to me. I'll have paid £18.50 postage to send it back and they'll ask me for additional postage costs to return it to me and most likely a testing charge too.

So I'm really looking to diagnoise it to the point where you strongly believe it really is a faulty PSU before initiating a RMA.

I could buy another motherboard or I could do more testing with the X1650 Pro using the MSI RD480 Neo2 to see if the game freezing and switching off still occurs.

Also, is it still the case where to RMA it to Corsair involves sending it to California which I imagine would take weeks?
