Faslane is just the name of the base.... The actual loch is called "Gare Loch", hence the names of the Armed Forces bases nearby in Garelochhead (top of Gare Loch)
I remember passing the base all the time when I used to scuba dive in nearby Loch Long and, on the other side, Loch Fyne.
