will begin work this weekend on the board with a full reivew to follow next monday. I have a brief chance to clock this board already at work. My first comment is this, its soooooooo STABLE and runs a shed load cooler than the 680i. managed to oc the 6600 conroe to 3.2 without changing voltage.........!

Lastly I cant give too much away yes but for the price point your going to be blown away I promise

The real test will be to see how a 6300 clocks on it. i.e. can it do a 500+ fsb. Hopefully I'll be finding out soon with mine although I imagine the guys on xtremesystems will be posting results soon.

Asus P5N-E SLI does 500fsb for slightly less cost so I'm hoping that the abit is at least as good ...

danroyle, it's not an uGuru mobo so the clock/panel won't work.

    nope, FP-IN9 SLI isn't uGuru.
    AB9 series, AW9D series & IN9 32X on Intel.

I too would have liked it to be uGuru (more than Fatal1ty ) as I'm also a big fan ...

damn the guru bit plus the fact it was abit was swaying me towards it over a asus p5ne-sli or an msi 975x platinum (last choice as want sli at later date)

am now not sure what to do i love abit but my last fatal1ty was totally useless

I'm finding overclocking problematic. Currently stuck at 428fsb with a 6300 that can do 3700ghz. I don't know whether it's a bios issue or the limit of the board, cpu vtt & Northbridge voltages seem to be critical and this is with them fully wound up. 1.58 & 1.6v respectively, which frankly are disappointingly low. Loads to play with on ram & cpu but I don't need to much volts on them, alos not too much vdroop thankfully.

Temps aren't the issue as cpu & all chipsets are watercooled.

Update my overall conclusion is that this board is rubbish. Hope a new bios will sort things out.

    Problems so far:

    1. USB keyboard does not function when fsb is raised.

    2. Sometimes will not restart after saving bios changes, requires two or three pushes of the power button.

    3. If you push the fsb too far the board finds it difficult to recover if it wont boot. Usually requires a cmos reset and even then sometimes more than one reset.

    4. Overclocking very hit and miss atm. Sometimes is will boot and be prime stable but if you reboot again it may not even make it in to windows.

    5. According to the bios my C2D 6300 & 4600 have unlocked multipliers. err no they don't and any attempt to change them either up or down results in no boot. Some times when recovering from an overclocking lockup the default multiplier in the current settings section is reported as 26

6: The pci slots dont work !!

Dan what's the max fsb you can do with your board and what cards have you tried in the pci slots, in particular the last pci slot at the bottom?

    Regards

    James

Can anybody else confirm if their PCI slots are fully working please? I need to know if this is a bios issue or a faulty board and RMA time.

fsb wise i have had 400 stable and thats as high as i pushed my 6400 doesnt need anything more than that to run everything out at the minute and the cpu leaves my graphics card failing to keep up once it passes 2.6ghz

i will go and test the pci slots and let you know if mine are faulty will post results before the end of the day
