AN8 32X, PCI express and SLI

    Hi,

Does anyone know if i will have any problems using one of the 2x PCI Express ports whilst i am running SLi?

Will it suffer any performance problems?

Im thinking of running a RAID card which uses a 1x PCI Express slot instead of the onboard RAID.

I am also running SLi with 2 7900GT's

    Cheers

Any particular reason for running an add on raid card when the board has a perfectly functional raid capability?? But to answer your question, anytime you add something on the PCI bus it will slow things down. Depending on what your doing with the system it may or not be noticable.

Yes, There is a reason for it. It means its portable.

Im planning on upgrading motherboard at some point and don't want the hassle of having to find space for hundreds of Gigabytes of stuff
