    IP35 pro driving me mental!

    Hello all,

I posted ages ago about random freezing with my ip35 pro, well, after changes to my PSU and memory, it's still happening!

    I have:
    IP35 pro
    E6750
    corsair 620w
    crucial ballistix tracer 8500

    My settings are:
    5-5-5-16
    ddr 2.2v
    cpu 1.35v
    cpu at 340 x8
and finally the memory is at 816 (if I try and put it higher to its rated 1066 speed, it freezes up even more regularly)

Do any of you see anything obviously wrong? Should I RMA the mobo?

Any help much appreciated as this all cost a lot of money for nothing but hassle so far

What's it doing when it freezes? What are your temps like?

They're not especially high, in the low 40's and I could be doing anything from browsing to converting video. It's seemingly random...

Hi, i am having the same problem, just got ip35 pro put all together and i get random shutdown when xp is loading. uGuru code is F5 which is not in the manual.

dogfoo do you happen to have win installed on a Seagate hdd?

I am thinking the ip35 pro has a problem with Seagate 320 sata II. I have vista ultimate installed on my 150 wd raptor and it works like a charm. Did a fresh install on the Seagate hdd 5 times, same problem. Memory voltage was upped from the begging to 2.1v as the vendor says.

I'd RMA the board, but be sure to let them know that it's an intermittent fault.

I had XP installed on a raptor, had the freezing problem, so swapped it out for for a 500gb WD sata.

I'd like to RMA the board, but, I don't have the little cpu socket cover that it shipped with. Does this matter?

The problem does sound hardware related. I would leave all CPU and memory timings/voltages at Auto. Have you eliminated the graphics card?

As for Raptors, I have two generation-1 74GB Raptors attached to my IP35 Pro (the ones with just 8MB of cache) and they work fine. I know that some people have had problems with the current Raptors.

Hi, well i went to the warranty with the board, they said the board is in perfect condition, either there is a compatibility problem, either the guys from the service are not so good. Did a memtest for a few hours, no error. Somebody suggested to zero fill the hdd before os install.

Yes, afaik no one accepts returns without it.
You might ask if someone has a spare & if they can send it to you.
